Don't worry this won't take very long. It's in step format.

Why You Should Give Credit

Ok. I am going to tell you a story. You drew a picture of a dog. It is very good. You show it to your friend. Your friend says, "Wow! This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!" They then take your picture from you. They show it to all of their friends who then say, "Wow, that is so pretty! Who drew it?" and your friend says, "I have NO IDEA!"

How would you feel if your friend did that to you? Good? No?! Well, that's how artists and photographers feel when you don't give credit on your reposted pictures.

Since this is so bad, I'm going to tell you how to be nicer to your artist friends.

How to Credit Creators

  1. Find the image you want to post.

  2. Find whoever posted it originally (I know this is the hard part but you can use Duplichecker to find the image fast on Google or Bing or TinEye to search popular image sites like Tumblr and Flickr).

  3. If they say not to repost, ask before following the rest of the steps. If they still say no, just follow this step: don't post it.

  4. Select the image using a save button extension (We Heart It has one for Chrome and Pinterest has one for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge).

  5. Put the username of the original poster in the caption/description.

  6. You're ready to post!

Fun Tip: If you can't find who posted it, then DO NOT POST IT. It is that easy, folks.

Anyway, I hope you read this and it helped you understand some things! Have a wonderful day!
